In December 2004 God presented G.N.B.C with an opportunity to relocate to a new building that sat on 8 Acres of land. After much prayer and planning G.N.B.C relocated to its current location 3501 Sherrye Dr. where God had truly been blessing. Over the last four years G.N.B.C membership has grown and we are holding on to our motto of  Connecting people to God  and to each other, one family at a time. That is why we offer a variety of ministries for all ages for both Members and Non-Members. During the first year pastor began putting the different auxiliaries into place. In August 1980 Greater New Birth Baptist Church briefly relocated to a store front located at 713 E. 18th St. and in October 1984 the church was blessed with the opportunity to purchase a building located @ 910 E. 13th St. where our membership began to grow. Many years pasted and God opened up the windows of heavens and poured Greater New Birth out a blessing.

The Story Of Greater New Birth Baptist Church

Greater New Birth Baptist Church all began with Rev. Charles R. Terry preaching his first sermon n March 1, 1978. He was then ordained on June 7, 1978 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. C.S. Trimble presiding. Greater New Birth Baptist Church was organized June 1, 1978 at 1612 Felix Dr. with Rev. Floyd Harris of Mt. Tabor Baptist church of Dallas, TX and Rev. C.S. Trimble of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Plano, TX in charge. Rev. Charles R. Terry Sr. was elected as pastor with 12 members. The church was named Parker Rd. Baptist Church due to its location on Parker Rd., but was later changed to Greater New Birth Baptist Church.
